Michele Freeny is a Mortgage Loan Originator with The Home Team powered by Movement Mortgage. Prior to her mortgage role, Michele was the Relationship Banking Officer with Cache Bank & Trust, located in Denver, CO. There she utilized her passions for relationship-building and supporting individuals and businesses in meeting their financial needs.

 

A consummate professional with more than twenty-five years of banking experience, Michele’s previously held positions include Branch Retail Executive for BBVA Compass Bank, where she was responsible for management and coaching of sales, service, and operational activities. She additionally held leadership roles at Vectra Bank, First National Bank of Colorado, UMB Bank, and Chase.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Michele began to explore the world at age 17, upon moving to Scandinavia with her family and beginning her college career in Oxford, England. She later graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in Business Management and she holds a Masters of Education Degree in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Michele’s broad worldview is a result of her global travels to over 20 countries within Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. As a former military spouse, she lived in Denmark, England, and Germany before moving to Colorado in 2000 and Florida in 2019.

​

Michele’s proudest professional moments are those spent coaching and mentoring other individuals to reach their full professional potential. Her commitment to developing the best in others has led her to serve as a Special Education teacher as well as a Career and Technological Education Resource Specialist for Denver Public Schools. She utilizes the skills and relationships developed during those experiences daily.

​

During her spare time, Michele has enjoyed volunteering for various local and national organizations such as Junior Achievement, Montbello Organizing Committee, A Vision for Your Life Book Club, and the Raymond Rountree Youth Foundation. She has also been entrusted to several church leadership positions, including minister of music, and has served many nonprofit boards in Germany and the US over the years.

Michele enjoys traveling, playing piano, exercising and is a registered notary public in the state of Florida.
